New form I-9 – Employment Eligibility Verification

Recently the Department of Homeland Security revised the form i-9 (Employment Eligibility Verification).  The employer now has to fill out the form (it used to be filled out by the employee and verified by the employer). The new form has to be filled out for any employees hired after November 27, 2011 so you may need to review your personnel roster to see who needs a new form.

To download the new form, please click on this link.  To review the information on this form, please check out this article from the CPA Practice Advisor.

If you’ve got any questions, don’t hesitate to contact me.

Cheers!
