The Cook County Assessor’s Office has begun mailing out the first installment of your 2016 Property Tax Bill. Once this happens, the clock is ticking on filing an appeal.
Two townships (Riverside and River Forest) have already posted all appeals must be in by February 29, 2016 with a March 9, 2016 deadline for additional paperwork. It is very important to follow these deadlines or you may have to wait until next year to file an appeal, or go directly the the Board of Review or Property Tax Appeals Board.
Don’t go for an appeal on your own – there’s a lot of documentation and choosing the wrong properties as comparable ones can cause your appeal to be denied.
Our system looks at least 15 criterion and automatically picks the best properties for your appeal! We offer a no-obligation review of your residence (single-family homes, townhouses, multi-family properties). Condos and commercial properties are trickier and will take longer, but can still be done!
Please go to our website (www.taxbillappeals.com) or click on the link below to send us a message on appealing your property!
Cheers!
